Interview With Visan Yonjan From Visan N The Groovers Band

Hey,every one....in this post is a chat conversation between Me and a rising talent in the Nepalese Music. Born in Jaigaon, Darjeeling,India on October 2,1981,always talented in music and with a dream of becoming a rock star he entered the Nepalese music area from 2007 A.D. onwards with his solo album "Premiere" after breaking  out of the band that he used to be with during the 90's. Then, he joined Stond Amp and then he is now with the Groovers rocking the Nepalese with his rock music.. let's check out the conversation...


Meaning of music for him?
Its life and I feel every second of life in it..


What was your first experience in the field of Nepalese Music?
I had both good and bad experiences during that time for it was my first day in studio and my first experience


The scene at that time that you would like to share with all?
I was new for Nepali music Industry. but i guess it was better scene because there were no any monkey business like today.


 So you mean to say while comparing the time now and the time before the previous time was better?
 It was fair and media used to promote to everyone ....

ya i am talking about the benefit for artist/band

there is no quality control these days

While entering the musical sector with Spiral was it fun or the fun is now?

 Well i have gained some experience throughout my career.. and I am enjoying each n every moment so far..being in a rock band is full of excitement though..

The credentials behind your success?

Patience I must say

and I dont consider myself as a successful musician

I just wanna do my things 

Source of inspiration?

Well I listen every kind of music and I am inspired by all the great musician around the world. I listen late Narayan Gopal to Elvis Presley

You also had got nice times with your previous band Stond Amp...so what made you to leave it and join the Groovers?

 Well its every band's old story... like forming and getting disbanded. but i really had great time with Stond Amp.. And as I had to continue my music so i;'m here with my new band Groovers

So how is the time passing by along with the Groovers?

Ya we are having great time together. and we are planning to come up with new things

Like?

Music of course

we r having gigs

that's it!

Ya band is all about playing live

so we r having good times so far

And you guys have recently brought out a new song Kaaran? So any kind of funny moment to remember while having the records?

Actually we were serious while in recording Kaaran.. (laughing)

but ya we shared our own views and feelings individually

So the guys were a bit nervous?

Well we were not ...it was like sharing experiences as it was very 1st time working together 

 and it was like completely comfortable working with groovers

So what's the resolution from yours and the guys for this year?

Nothing much but only music....we have some good plans to come up with good songs

so lets see how things move on 

 hopefully we will release our new single soon

What can we expect from yours and the Groovers?

Its not only from me or Groovers. Its whole band ..we will definitely try to give a good music 

So can the crowd expect that Visan N the Groovers will be up to the faith?

Its all up to listeners but so far we got huge positive response from our 1st single Kaaran

and hopefully , listeners will support us for our next venture as well

 
And what would you like to tell about your upcoming events and the last event Bonjovi Nights?

We have done few gigs named Bon Jovi Night.. and we got honorable feedbacks.. We, Groovers like to think all of u who came up to listen us. Beside that I am going to Hong Kong for my show this Feb.

 I am gonna miss my band 

So what's the event about?
Its a charity show..

And the artists joining alongside you?

Miss Nepal Hong Kong team is the presenter

Mingma Sherpa and Sonam Pakhrin

I expect it to be the best ones...

Now let's talk about the music...Prashna and Kaaran..they have been much in success...so.what was the real idea behind those songs?

Talking about prashna .. I was in stond amp..and this song is written and composed by Sarju Shrestha(one of my good big brother). we made kinda metallic stuff in this particular song

 we filled the music according to lyrics

 And what about Kaaran?

Kaaran is all about groovers...Hercules Basnet is the guy behind this song.. he helped me in lyrics n composition 

must say he is very talented guy

 we r still receiving positive feedbacks frm listeners and viewers

And any other person who has been special to have been working with you?

Bizu Karmacharya (former guitarist of STOND AMP)

he is my all time good musician

 I am looking forward to work with him someday

Last but not the least any message you would like to deliver to the people ?
